THE WHISKY ME HALL OF FAME

The first release in the Elements series, celebrating innovation and creativity in whisky-making, this bottling focuses on the mash and fermentation. It was fermented for 55 hours in two sizes of mash tun, using two types of wort, before a slumber in ex-bourbon casks.

This bottling is the twelfth release in Penderyn’s Icon’s of Wales series. Swansea was nicknamed ‘Copperopolis’ as from 1720, half of the world’s copper and 90% of the UK’s copper was smelted there. Penderyn also have a distillery in the Powerhouse of the old Swansea copperworks building.

Limited edition, 10 years old, first in a collection; this hits all the markers that get whisky drinkers excited! For us it’s an exciting opportunity to share the nuances of Manzanilla. So, what can you expect? Something a bit saltier, what you might hear coined as coastal, but still bursting with fruity flavours.

An English Rye: not something you find every day, is it? Fielden are farming-focussed, taking aim at regenerative practices, pouring it as naturally as possible.

The taste? A mix of ‘typical’ Rye flavours (spicy, toasted caramel) but lighter than others, with a bit of fruitiness thrown in for good measure.

If you’re looking to experience a textbook Sherry Bomb, then look no further than one of the last truly independent distilleries; that is of course, Glenfarclas. Equipped with the largest stills on Speyside; we’re chuffed to share with you the 10-year-old (but being honest, it has a finish closer to a 12 or 15!!) 

Some people turn their nose up when they hear something is a ‘core release’ – for us, it’s game changing to find an absolute cracker; with the relief they’ll be able to crank it out (with care!) time and time again. This also something exciting, and relatively new! Released just July last year, this is lightly peated, and heavy on the variety of unique flavours. We can’t wait for you to dive in!

Loch Lomond’s peat-powered Inchmoan 12 is a favourite from a distillery with a diverse range! Award-winning for those who care – we’re just happy to report that it tastes really, really good. Dive in – there’s much more than smoke here: you’ll find tangy fruit and honey that brings everything together nicely.

Something genuinely different and, dare we say it, new – and they talk a big game. A mixture of bourbon and armagnac from WhistlePig’s founder, back with, err... more pigs? But more importantly, something unique – a release we’re chuffed to be the UK exclusive sampling partner for!

One of two inaugural KinGlassie releases from Inchdairnie. Double is certainly the word here, with KinGlassie 8 being double distilled, double condensed, and double matured. As they say, it results in “Boundless smoky complexity” 

This month we have an astounding single malt from Dingle Distillery. Triple distilled and matured in a mixture of casks; this expression is jam-packed with sumptuous flavours. An impressive sip from a relatively new distillery, clearly eager to make its mark – and we can’t wait for you to have a go.

A bright-eyed beauty boasting a natural golden amber colour straight from the cask. It’s full of character, starting with a burst of soft spice and finishing with a wisp of smoke. Think of this dram as Orkney in a glass – warm, welcoming, and full of island spirit!

From the base of Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji comes this smooth operator from Fuji Gotemba distillery. This expression has been made with aquifer water containing fifty years of snowmelt. Pretty cool, right? This incredibly well-balanced single malt is clean, complex, and exceptionally crafted.
