The Tullibardine distillery is located in Blackford, halfway between Stirling and Perth, at the lowest point of what - in whisky terms - is classed as the Highlands. There is some debate over where the name Tullibardine came from. One theory is that the distillery was named after a chapel from the mid 1400’s that once stood in the vicinity, with the name Tullibardine a colloquial interpretation of the Scots Gaelic for “look out hill”. Tullibardine is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to distill, mature and bottle all on one site.
